I would also love to see a review or overview on some of these awesome portable displays - it's kind of hard to find any reviews on them :-)
Linus, can you do a review of the ASUS MB168C+? I can not find a single review of that monitor, and I wonder how well works for both photo/design work and gaming.
Really feels like Asus is blowing away the competition this year... or Linus hasn't gotten around to the other suites yet. Either way, I'm loving all this in-depth coverage!
gpus can use thunderbolt (linus recently did a viedo on Magma Expressbox), but the main issue is driver support. And you can do more with it than just gpus and hdds (aka anything with a PCIe connection).
that will do great as a second screen on a gameing build, but not a dual-monitor setup.
i think there was an editing problem there because the volume jumps down just at that moment, ive noticed it's been pretty fine in most other videos

is there any area for concern when i see large peripherals being powered via USB. is there any undue stress on that port because of the current going through it? same with USB powered notebook coolers? can someone let me know?

Based on the MB168 model number, I'd venture to guess that it's just shy of 17" diagonally (16.8").
Also, I don't believe it's touchscreen.

I was wondering if you could use this as a primary monitor for a desktop if you have a GPU? Does anyone know?
A good feature would be for it to color sync with the laptop.

Works like a charm. Both windows and Mac should download the driver to get access to all of the features. On Windows it will work out of the box, but you will neeed the driver to be able to auto-rotate the display. On Mac you need the driver to be able to use the display at all. All features worked on both Windows and Mac (On Mac you will have to manually set the rotation, but it only takes a second any way).
Cool device for productivity. I would not find any use for it buy many people out there would.
